It’s Halloween! Or All Saint’s Day, if you prefer. (Or, as I prefer, the anniversary of the day that Martin Luther nailed his 95 Thesis to the door of the cathedral.)
How much money did you spend on candy for your neighborhood kids – or for your Trunk or Treat event – this weekend?
I dare you to spend that much on clean water.
The kids you see every day think a pillow case full of candy is a treat. We spend our hard earned money on bags of sugar so we can play along. No one wants to be the house with no candy. Or lame candy.
Kids in the Central African Republic would think a cup of clean, safe water is a treat. Would you be willing to spend what you laid down for candy, on clean water? The adults in their C.A.R. villages would buy water for their kids like we buy candy for ours if they could, but they can’t.
You can.
